Big Thanks And Big Dreams

Hey guys! It’s Hope and Bree writing to you all on behalf of our group “Dedicated To Dreams.” Thank you for following along with all of us throughout this campaign and special thanks to our donors. We would also like to thank the Knoxville and surrounding area businesses for listening to us and contributing their services to our campaign.  With the campaign coming to an end, we are so grateful that we got to learn more about this wonderful nonprofit organization while raising funds for it as well. We hope you enjoyed learning about our group’s dreams as children through our blog.

As you might have seen from our blogs, our childhood dreams and the people who supported us were so important. That’s why we are so thankful for our donors because they have supported another child’s dream that is important to him or her. If you haven’t read our personal blogs, feel free to go check them out. Whether you have read them or haven’t, we are glad you are here for us to give you our final thanks.

The money we have raised during this campaign will go directly to The Dream Connection, and these donations will help fund another deserving child’s dream. Although we did not have a specific child and dream to raise money for, we are so thankful to be able to spread awareness about the children who have had their dreams fulfilled and spread awareness about The Dream Connection in general.

In the past, The Dream connection was able to fund Malachi getting a wheelchair-accessible swimming pool, Charlotte getting her makeup done at the Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo boutique, Max meeting Dude Perfect who is a famous YouTuber, and many other dreams beyond these. None of these dreams would’ve been able to happen without all the support and donations The Dream Connection receives. We are so happy that the money raised from our campaign will be able to help fund another dream for a truly deserving child.

The Dream Connection has been able to help fulfill many local East Tennessee children's Dreams. This amazing nonprofit fulfills approximately 35 dreams per year through the support of individuals, businesses, and civic organizations. Although our campaign is coming to an end, this does not mean the donations to The Dream Connection have to end! You can still support this amazing organization at https://dreamconnection.org/wp/

Once again we are so thankful for our donors, The Dream Connection, and Professor Meredith for giving us this amazing opportunity. We have learned so much throughout this process from learning about The Dream Connection itself to how to create and promote our campaign. This opportunity is one we will never forget and have been grateful to be a part of. Once again we would like to give a special thanks to our donors because without donations like yours, there would be no “once in a lifetime” dreams being fulfilled. Never forget that a dream come true starts with you.

Thank you to all our supporters and all the children’s supporters!

High HOPEs

Hello, it's Hope! The Marketing major member of Dedicated to Dreams. I am glad you stopped by to hear about my dreams as a kid. Now that I have introduced myself, let’s talk dreams. When I was a kid, I had so many dreams. I wanted to be a singer, actress, and a princess. I also really wanted a treehouse, but my dad does not know how to build anything so that dream never happened. Although I am mentioning many of my childhood dreams, I want to focus not necessarily on my dreams coming true, but how the support system I had made me feel like I could accomplish anything I dreamed of. When I was younger, I was a competitive gymnast. I would spend 12-16 hours of the week at practice, and I loved every minute of it. I would beg my parents for new leotards constantly. I kept up to date with all the Olympic gymnasts like Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, and Jordyn Wieber. I enjoyed all four gymnastic events, but my favorite was uneven bars. If there ever was an open gym practice, I would be a...

Matt's MLB Dream!

Hey everyone, it’s Matt from “Dedicated to Dreams.” In this blog you guys will get to read my childhood dream of playing for the MLB! I hope you enjoy reading about it! I have been playing sports my entire life, starting at the age of 4. I played baseball, football, basketball, golf and even volleyball (for a little while at least, I wasn’t that good haha). The first sport I played was baseball and have been in love with it every day since! Growing up I started seeing myself progress and getting better and better every year, and wanted to try out for a full-time travel team. I knew if I wanted to play it was going to be expensive and I was going to have to work harder than I ever had before. I tried out for my first team when I was eleven and ended up making it, it made me love every second of the game. My dream had always been to go to Vanderbilt and play for the Commodores then hopefully after that play for my favorite MLB team… The Chicago White Sox!...
